Pompliano Warns of Rising Bond Yields, Advocates for Bitcoin, Gold, and Land
Anthony Pompliano interprets the rise in bond yields as a warning of market distortion, stating that the political sphere will continue to pursue monetary expansion. He reaffirmed that scarce assets like Bitcoin, gold, and land are favorable. In an interview with the Schwab Network on September 8, Pompliano mentioned that the bond market signals the burden of fiscal and monetary policy, suggesting a high likelihood that politicians will print more money. He views the rise in bond yields as pressuring the government to make choices, emphasizing that the continuation of monetary issuance will impact the performance of Bitcoin, gold, and land. He noted that over the past five years, a portfolio of Bitcoin, gold, and land has risen by approximately 150-175%, while the S&P 500 has increased by about 70%. He pointed out that the U.S. national debt has reached $40 trillion, with interest costs exceeding $1 trillion. He considers spending cuts as the best fiscal solution but acknowledges the difficulties posed by political resistance. Additionally, he mentioned that new technologies like AI and robotics could provide growth opportunities, but there is a conflict between the political incentives for increased spending and the innovations of entrepreneurs. Pompliano compresses his preferred investment assets to Bitcoin, gold, and land, stating a preference for holding assets that benefit from political folly.
