Reuters Survey Shows Over 80% of Economists Expect Fed to Raise Rates to 3.75%-4.00% in September
A Reuters survey revealed that among 101 economists, 86 expect the Federal Reserve to raise the federal funds rate to 3.75%-4.00% on September 16. In a survey conducted on September 9, 65 out of 93 economists anticipated that rates would remain unchanged in September. Additionally, among 70 economists, 37 expect the Fed to raise rates at least twice before the end of March 2027, compared to 21 out of 82 economists who held the same expectation in the September 9 survey.
