Ripple CEO Says U.S. Goal of Becoming Crypto Hub is Achievable
Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse stated that the U.S. goal of becoming a global hub for the cryptocurrency sector is still achievable. He emphasized that despite regulatory uncertainties, this goal remains on the table. In a post on X, he expressed that the aim of making the U.S. the world's crypto capital is close. This statement came after CFTC Chairman Michael Selig thanked U.S. President Donald Trump for hosting leading figures in the country's innovation sector at the White House. The meeting, held on August 19, included top executives and names from the technology and finance worlds. The White House clearly articulated its intention for the U.S. to be at the forefront of cryptocurrency and financial technology with this meeting. One of the main agenda items, the CLARITY Act, aims to create a clearer regulatory framework for crypto assets in the U.S. The Senate is expected to hold the first vote on the bill on September 15. However, the fact that the House of Representatives will only be in session for four days complicates the legislative process. Crypto analysts warn that the bill may be pushed to after the midterm elections.
