Robinhood Joins as Underwriter for Oura IPO
Robinhood has been included in the underwriting group for the initial public offering (IPO) of smart ring manufacturer Oura. This marks the first time Robinhood is participating as an official underwriter in an IPO. Oura submitted its IPO application this week, with an estimated company valuation exceeding $11 billion. The underwriting group consists of a total of 18 firms, with Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, and JP Morgan serving as the lead underwriters. Robinhood ranks at the bottom among these firms. As an official underwriter, it can exert greater influence over the number of IPO shares allocated to customers. Oura reported that its revenue for the nine months ending June 30, 2026, was $1.21456 billion, a 74% increase compared to the same period last year, with a net profit of $60.768 million. The company has 5 million paid members, with a 12-month retention rate of approximately 85%. Oura, a Finnish company, manufactures the Oura Ring, which tracks health metrics. Robinhood's participation signifies an expansion into capital market services. The final offering price and number of shares for Oura have yet to be determined.
