Second Suspected Ledger Nano X Reported from MediaMarkt
A crypto user, Johannes, has purchased two suspicious Ledger Nano X devices from different MediaMarkt locations in Germany. Both devices reportedly contain extra cables and a mobile internet module, making the report noteworthy. The second unit is being sent to Ledger for investigation. Johannes shared an unboxing video and noted that the store details point to Aqipa, the distributor that announced a partnership with Ledger for Germany and Austria in 2023. Ledger, MediaMarkt, and Aqipa have yet to confirm the modification of the devices. Previously, Ledger stated that all confirmed thefts could be traced back to CryptoBilis, a seller in Southeast Asia, but there is no evidence linking the German devices. The investigation into the second device should now clarify what exactly has been built in.
