Solana-based DEX volume reached $183.2 billion in Q2 2026
The theoretical trading volume on decentralized exchanges within the Solana ecosystem surged to $183.2 billion in the second quarter of 2026. This marks a 42% increase compared to the previous quarter. The shift of investors from centralized platforms to decentralized derivatives exchanges on Solana contributed significantly to this volume growth. Platforms like Jupiter Perpetuals, Drift, and Zeta Markets stood out due to their low transaction fees and quick approval times. Solana's liquidity structure and 400-millisecond block times helped narrow the transaction spreads. The increased volume may indicate deeper liquidity and lower slippage in perpetual futures products based on BTC, ETH, and local assets. However, risks such as network reliability, price oracle design, and volatility in funding rates persist. Throughout 2026, there is a noticeable focus on transparency and regulatory compliance in the crypto derivatives markets.
