Stable has released an updated white paper, with a core design focused on reconstructing blockchain infrastructure for stablecoins. It will use USDT as the native gas asset and primary settlement asset, allowing users to trade without holding additional volatile tokens. The network supports PYUSD issued by PayPal as a primary settlement asset. The total supply of STABLE is 100 billion tokens, with approximately 18 billion tokens (18%) already in circulation, while the remaining 82 billion tokens (82%) are placed in a unified lock-up pool. The 82 billion locked tokens will be gradually unlocked in 7 phases: the first phase will release 5% (4.1 billion tokens) on December 8, 2027; the second phase will release 5% (4.1 billion tokens) on March 8, 2028; the third phase will release 10% (8.2 billion tokens) on June 8, 2028; the fourth phase will release 15% (12.3 billion tokens) on September 8, 2028; the fifth phase will release 15% (12.3 billion tokens) on December 8, 2028; the sixth phase will release 20% (16.4 billion tokens) on March 8, 2029; and the seventh phase will release 30% (24.6 billion tokens) on June 8, 2029. All locked tokens will be unlocked through daily linear releases, with the expectation that all will be in circulation by December 8, 2029. The white paper also establishes a price protection mechanism, stating that if the volume-weighted average price of the tokens is below 0.025 in the 30 days prior to the specified release date, the relevant unlocking phase may be postponed by up to 9 months.
