Ukraine Plans Meetings on FREYJA Program
Ukraine will hold meetings with states and companies involved in the development of the anti-ballistic program FREYJA. President Volodymyr Zelensky listened to a report from the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Ihor Klymenko, on the work in the field of air and missile defense. Meetings are scheduled with representatives participating in the development of the program. Zelensky noted that the issues will be discussed at a meeting of the Staff, and work is also underway on Ukraine's long-range capabilities. The results of the work will be presented for consideration by the Staff, with oversight of the implementation of decisions carried out by the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council. The President emphasized the need to implement decisions to counter Russian drones and accelerate production processes. Ukraine and nine European countries signed a declaration on the creation of an Integrated Anti-Ballistic Coalition on July 13, 2026, with the FREYJA system as its flagship. The cost of the Ukrainian interceptor missile is expected to be up to 1 million euros, significantly lower than the cost of the American PAC-3 MSE missile. Fire Point plans to produce up to 2,000 FP-7.X interceptors per year.
