Prefer us on GoogleOn July 28, the U.S. Senate passed a procedural vote on a sanctions bill against Russia and Iran with a result of 86 votes in favor and 12 against. The bill stipulates a 100% secondary tariff on countries that continue to purchase Russian oil and gas. Additionally, the bill includes new provisions to extend sanctions against Iran, ensuring that the relevant sanctions remain in effect until the end of this year.
