Wintermute: Retail Investors Sell Bitcoin, Funds Shift to Altcoins
Wintermute's over-the-counter trading weekly report shows that retail clients sold Bitcoin last week, with funds shifting towards altcoins. Market breadth has expanded to a level where over 80% of the subsequent weeks historically have either flattened or declined, excluding early cycles. The institution hopes for Bitcoin to continue rising to create new wealth that can feed back into rotation, and lists oil prices, interest rates, and the Federal Reserve's potential rate hikes as the main external threats to the current market.
