BNB Chain RWA Growth Report Overtakes Solana in New Ranking

- The main issue to watch is methodology. The report cites total RWA value, active RWA market capitalization, and chain market share in the same update, and the gap between those measures may determine whether BNB Chain’s lead is durable or only visible under one reporting standard.
- USYC appears to be the key growth driver on BNB Chain. The next signal is whether activity broadens beyond a single tokenized Treasury product, because concentration can limit how representative headline RWA growth is for the wider chain ecosystem.
- Cross-chain comparisons also need closer scrutiny. Conflicting figures around Solana suggest the market should watch for updated disclosures from data providers and chains before treating the ranking shift as fully settled.
BNB Chain said its real-world asset value has increased by $3.62 billion since the beginning of 2026, putting it ahead of Solana in the latest comparison of on-chain RWA activity as of September 11.
According to the update, Solana’s RWA value stood at $2.66 billion on September 11, compared with $2.5 billion for Stellar and $1.6 billion for Ethereum. The report also said total on-chain RWA value has surpassed $39 billion, up more than 50% since the start of the year.
The same update said Ethereum still leads in active market capitalization, while BNB Smart Chain’s active RWA market capitalization was listed at $3.57 billion. It also said BSC’s RWA market share rose from 0.1% at the beginning of 2025 to 20.0% by the end of March 2026, while Ethereum’s share fell from 93.4% to 61.1% over the same period.
BNB Chain linked the expansion to USYC, a tokenized U.S. Treasury product. The report said tokenized RWA market capitalization on BNB Chain grew 107% in the first half of 2026. It also cited a Binance Research estimate placing distributed RWA value at $34 billion, up more than 50% this year.
Different sources describe the matter differently, and the relevant details still require official confirmation. In particular, some figures for Solana in other records appear higher than the September 11 comparison, while BNB Chain’s previously cited RWA TVL and the active market capitalization figure in the current update may rely on different definitions.
Why It Matters
The report points to a changing competitive landscape in tokenized real-world assets, one of the more closely watched areas of crypto infrastructure. If BNB Chain is gaining share through tokenized Treasury products, that would suggest RWA growth is no longer concentrated on Ethereum alone and that newer chain competition is starting to matter in this segment.
It also highlights a broader market-structure issue: RWA rankings can shift depending on whether providers measure TVL, active market capitalization, or another chain-level metric. For institutions and crypto-native traders alike, clearer reporting standards may matter almost as much as the headline growth figures.
