Eduarda Campopiano Defends Bitcoin as 'Legitimate Defense'
The elected state deputy in São Paulo, Eduarda Campopiano, with 1,956,238 votes, publicly defended Bitcoin. In an interview, she stated that 'Bitcoin is legitimate defense' and encouraged the purchase of the cryptocurrency for financial protection. Campopiano emphasized that in times of political uncertainty, such as a possible victory of Lula in the upcoming elections, it is essential to protect assets. She mentioned that Bitcoin appreciates in crisis scenarios, asserting: 'If you can, R$ 1, R$ 10, R$ 100, buy bitcoin, it is legitimate defense.' The deputy, who has 2.5 million followers on Instagram, received support from political figures like Lucas Pavanato and Tarcísio de Freitas. Only 8% of candidates in the general elections of 2026 presented proposals for the cryptocurrency market.
