Pomapay received validator approval from Canton on August 4. Canton is a privacy blockchain network that processes over 600,000 transactions daily, and Pomapay plans to utilize this for inter-company payments and settlements. Pomapay holds a major payment institution license in Singapore and, with this approval, has joined the Canton ecosystem, which includes global financial institutions. Canton is designed for secure transactions and information sharing, characterized by its structure that maintains transaction confidentiality. Pomapay will operate dedicated nodes on Canton to facilitate transactions with approved counterparties. Pomapay also plans to expand its existing multi-chain payment network, with customer regions now including Southeast Asia, the Greater Bay Area, and the Middle East and North Africa. Pomapay founder Louis Liu stated that the validator approval demonstrates a direction towards building payment infrastructure across various networks. This approval will strengthen the strategy for establishing a regulatory-compliant multi-chain and multi-payment network.
