SharpLink CEO Predicts AI-Driven Trading Will Focus on Ethereum Ecosystem
SharpLink CEO Joseph Chalom stated that the integration of stablecoins, tokenized assets, DeFi, and AI agents will trigger an economic explosion, with AI-driven trading primarily centered around the Ethereum ecosystem. On-chain financial infrastructure will enable tokenized assets to be lent or used as collateral, while AI agents can monitor interest rates, risks, and tax implications across markets to determine whether to hold, lend, collateralize, or transfer assets. Currently, hundreds of millions of stablecoin payments between AI agents have been completed through on-chain networks like Base and Solana, and over 10,000 agents have registered on the Ethereum AI agent identity registration protocol ERC-8004 within ten weeks of its launch. Chalom predicts that by 2030, over $10 trillion in global financial services revenue will face redistribution, increasing to $40 trillion by 2035. AI agents will drive financial service providers to lower costs, potentially saving users $350 billion annually by 2030 and increasing to $1.4 trillion by 2035, which would eliminate nearly a quarter of global financial industry costs. He believes that institutions with the necessary infrastructure will possess AI agents and customers, with companies like Visa, Mastercard, Stripe, Circle, Tether, Coinbase, and Binance competing in this space.
