By: cryptonomist.ch|10/20/2026 22:08:42

In the third quarter of 2026, TRON transactions reached approximately 1.10 billion, marking a 33.7% increase compared to a year earlier. However, compared to the previous quarter, the number remained relatively flat.

Key Points

  • Year-on-year transactions rose by 33.7% to about 1.10 billion.
  • Settlements in stablecoins saw a +5.1% increase over the second quarter.
  • The combined supply of USDT and USDD on the network reached $93.88 billion.
  • Total fees decreased by 4%, while active addresses grew.

TRON Transactions in Q3 2026: Stable Quarter-on-Quarter, Growth Year-on-Year

The growth is year-on-year, not quarter-on-quarter. Between July and September 2026, the network processed about 1.10 billion transactions, compared to 0.82 billion in the third quarter of 2025.

The data comes from the State of TRON report, published in mid-October by TRON DAO. The document shows a divergence: the transaction count is stagnant, while the value settled in stablecoins continues to rise.

In practice, the network moves more value without moving many more operations. It is a reading of the numbers, not a thesis of the report.

Stablecoin Volume on TRON: Settlements at $2.2126 Trillion

The value settled in stablecoins on the network reached $2.2126 trillion in the quarter, up 5.1% from the previous quarter. The daily average indicated by TRON DAO is $24.05 billion.

The combined supply of USDT and USDD reached $93.88 billion. The increase is 5.5% quarter-on-quarter and 14.9% year-on-year.

Alone, the USDT stablecoin reached a record of about $92.7 billion on TRON. The global supply of USDT remained roughly flat at about $184 billion, so the network hosts about half of it.

Market Shares Compared to Ethereum

As of September 2026, TRON accounted for about 73% of the stablecoin transaction volume. Ethereum stood at about 15%.

The share of total market capitalization for stablecoins is more modest: 30.2% at the end of the third quarter, up from 28.7% in June.

The weight of small transfers is also increasing. TRON's share of USDT transfers under $1,000 rose to 55% in the third quarter, up from 52% in the second.

Active Addresses Increasing, Fees Decreasing

In the quarter, active addresses grew while fees decreased. The monthly average of active addresses rose by 9.8% from the previous quarter, to 18 million.

Total fees reached $701.4 million, down 4%, with a daily average of $7.62 million. The report thus associates more activity and more settled value with lower aggregate fees.

On the total front, towards the end of the quarter, accounts on the network exceeded 408 million. Transactions recorded since launch were over 15 billion, while cumulative volume surpassed $30 trillion as of September 23, 2026.

The total value locked, including staking, stood at $28.21 billion.

The Canary Staked TRX ETF Arrives at the End of the Quarter

The Canary Staked TRX ETF, with ticker TRXS, debuted on Cboe BZX on September 9, 2026. The fund offers exposure to TRX, the native token of TRON, along with staking rewards.

The product pertains to staking TRX, not settling in stablecoins. Having arrived in the last weeks of the period, it had little impact on the numbers for the third quarter of 2026.

The fourth quarter of 2026 will be the first with TRXS trading for the entire period.
