Uppsala Security Joins INTERPOL Gateway
Uppsala Security, a blockchain analytics company, is joining INTERPOL's public-private partnership for cybercrime response known as the 'Gateway.' Uppsala Security stated that through the Gateway, it will provide blockchain analysis, transaction tracking, and virtual asset intelligence to support law enforcement agencies in their investigations of digital asset crimes. The Gateway is a public-private collaboration system that began in 2019, where INTERPOL analyzes cyber threat information provided by private partners and shares it with member countries. Uppsala Security has previously participated in INTERPOL's cybercrime operations, having arrested 1,209 individuals and recovered $97.4 million during the 'Operation Serengeti 2.0' in 2025. Additionally, it took part in last year's 'Operation Red Card 2.0,' resulting in the arrest of 651 individuals and the recovery of $4.3 million. The Director of INTERPOL's Cybercrime Division emphasized that cybercrime is closely intertwined with digital assets, making it difficult to respond independently, and stated that the Gateway will facilitate the connection of blockchain intelligence to investigations. The CEO of Uppsala Security expressed that this partnership will contribute to investigators' efforts in addressing digital asset crimes.
