Apple plans to complete a global price adjustment for the iPhone 17 series in various regions by the end of August, with the maximum individual price increase not exceeding 1000 yuan due to the continuous surge in storage chip prices. On July 17, Apple raised the prices of all iPhone models in the Japanese market by approximately 8% to 11.3%, with the highest increase for the iPhone Air reaching 11.3% and the iPhone 17 Pro Max increasing by 10.3%, resulting in a price hike of 20,000 yen per unit. Based on the exchange rate at that time, the purchasing cost increased by about 540 to 835 yuan. Apple has not yet announced a price increase for the iPhone 17 in the Chinese market, but it raised prices for products such as Mac and iPad in June, with some models seeing increases of 15% to 20%. Apple CEO Tim Cook stated that the continuous rise in storage chip prices has prompted the company to evaluate response strategies, describing the current memory price environment as a "once-in-a-century flood," with prices experiencing exponential increases.
