KB Financial Group has identified materials, consumer discretionary, and industrials as industries with high natural capital risk and exposure. These sectors may face corporate costs and financial portfolio risks due to land, water, and biodiversity degradation. In the '2025 KB Financial Group Natural Capital Disclosure Report' released on the 17th, KB Financial stated that it will systematically incorporate natural-related risks and opportunities into financial decision-making. Natural capital refers to natural assets that underpin economic activities, and managing these is related to risk management of loans and investment assets for financial companies. KB Financial classifies industries with high natural capital risk and exposure as priority management targets, emphasizing that the greater the proportion of loans and investments in these sectors, the more credit and market risks should be assessed. Additionally, there is a direction to link productive finance and inclusive finance with natural capital management. As of the end of last year, KB Financial managed and operated ESG financial products worth 20.8 trillion KRW in environmental sector products, investments, and loans, with plans to expand this to 25 trillion KRW by 2030.
