Starting from July 26, 2026, Ukraine has implemented an updated order No. 1727, which changes the working conditions for commercial drivers. International carriers are required to pay for drivers' hotel accommodations, and the data retention period for tachographs has been extended to 56 days. The basic time limits remain unchanged: daily driving is limited to 9 hours, the weekly limit is up to 56 hours, and a break of 45 minutes is required after 4.5 hours of driving. New requirements include the mandatory use of tachographs for international passenger transport, a ban on resting in the cabin, and a maximum shift duration of 10 hours during nighttime. Trucks for international routes registered after June 30, 2026, must be equipped with smart tachographs G 2 V 2. Tachograph requirements do not apply to security vehicles, agricultural transport within a radius of 100 km, and other categories. The rules for international bus transport are also being updated with clear deadlines for application review and route approval.
