S&P Global Acquires Blockchain Security Company OpenZeppelin
S&P Global has announced an agreement to acquire blockchain security company OpenZeppelin. Founded in 2015, OpenZeppelin is the industry default standard for Ethereum smart contracts, and its open-source library, OpenZeppelin Contracts, is widely used for building tokens, stablecoins, and tokenized funds. Nine out of the top ten stablecoins and all of the top ten tokenized currency funds are based on this library. OpenZeppelin provides security audits, continuous monitoring, and institutional-grade on-chain security services, with a total contract value transfer exceeding $30 trillion, serving clients including Circle, Uniswap, Aave, DTCC, Fidelity Digital Assets, and WisdomTree.
